Eddie Wilson Davenport, Sr

Eddie Wilson Davenport, Sr., 50, passed away suddenly, Friday, August 22, 2014 at Stones River Hospital E/R.  He was a native of Wilson Co.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Lisa Shuler Davenport of Milton; Children, Eddie (Whitney) Davenport of Readyville, Jeremiah Davenport of Milton, Joshua Davenport of Milton, Leslie Davenport Powers (fiance Jeremy McGregor) of Woodbury, and Charles Davenport (fiancee Jacqueline Hayes) of Lascassas; Sisters, Martha Ann Hunt of Auburntown, and Dorothy Champion of Gassaway; Brother, Paul Davenport of Woodbury; 5 Grandchildren, Brady & Cynthia Davenport, Lindsay Powers, Wyatt Davenport, and Abby Davenport.  He is also survived by his parents-in-law, Vance & Melinda Shuler of North Carolina; and close friends, Bryan West of Woodbury and Steve McNabb of Murfreesboro.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack & Sallie Joines Davenport and a sister, Georgia Murphy.

He was a farmer and enjoyed hunting for arrowheads and spending time with family and friends.

Funeral Services will be 2 PM Monday, August 25, 2014 at the Chapel of the Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Hunter Hay officiating.  Pallbearers will include Bryan West, Jeremy McGregor, Stanford Hedrick, Kenneth Hedrick, Blake Rollins, Jarvis Neely, Buddy Mixon, & Steven Davenport.  Interment will follow at Riverside Gardens.  Visitation with the family will be from 3 to 9 Sunday, August 24, 2014 at Woodbury Funeral Home.
