Son Pulls Dad Off Mom During Domestic Incident

A teenager had to intervene when a man was allegedly attacking his ex-wife recently.

Tracy Mitchell Young, 314 Powell St., Woodbury, was charged with domestic assault on May 30 by Woodbury Assistant Police Chief Kevin Mooneyham.

It is alleged that on that date Young’s former wife went to his residence to drop off their son. Upon her arrival Young allegedly told the son to get his belongings and leave, that he did not want him there.

When the ex-wife went inside to assist the son with his belongings, Young reportedly got in her face and was acting as if he were going to burn her with a cigarette.

The victim pushed Young away. He then pushed the victim onto a couch and started hitting her. Their 15-year-old son then pulled the dad off the mom on two occasions to get him to stop.

Young's bond was set at $2,000. Initial court date is July 19.
