Future Home Of Cannon Courier Purchased

The Cannon County Property Transfers for June 2011 include the purchase of a building and two lots on West Main Street in Woodbury which will be the home of the Cannon Courier newspaper in the near future.

Courier Owner and Publisher William R. Fryar bought the building at 111 West Main St., which was the former location of Palace Barber and Style Shop. Although the Courier is in its 127th year of operation, the newspaper has never owned the building in which it was located.

Fryar said the plan at this time is to relocate the newspaper to the new address on West Main sometime in near future. However, no definitive date has been set.
