The Cannon County JR Lions put up a strong fight before falling, 42-21, against first-place Trousdale County Thursday (Sept. 22) at Schwartz Field.
The Lions trailed by 12 entering the final quarter before Trousdale County showed why it is a first-place team by flexing its muscle and pulling away down the stretch.
"We showed signs of improvement at different positions and the players continue to work hard," JR Lions Head Coach Randy Farnsworth said. "We handled ourselves pretty well for the most part so I'm proud of the players and the improvements they continue to make."
