Supporters of candidate for sheriff Darrell Young wait outside Joe's Place for results Thursday.
Hundreds of people have filled the Woodbury Town Square to await results of today's Cannon County General Election. Results are coming in slowly. WBRY Radio and the Cannon Courier are sponsoring a Party on the Square and election results are being announced over WBRY Radio as they come in.

Well I thought it was a great time on the courthouse square. The square was beautiful and the oresentation was great. The people were relaxed and everyone had a good time and got caught with their neighbors. I thank Doug Combs of WBRY and the Cannon Courier for putting on the party. Harold Patrick and Doug make a good team.
