WHEW....I can imagine that you are all battling the heat like I am!! As I am writing this, we are about to get hit with a big storm. The only good thing about it is that it is supposed to be bringing some cooler weather.

One of our little kitties at the barn had heat stroke and we had to keep it comfortable with sprinkles of water on it's neck, ears and mouth. It helped, because he is better now. He happens to have a huge amount of fluffy hair, more so than the others. So, he felt the heat in a worse way.

JD and I are really enjoying the Barn where it stays cooler inside with a nice breeze throughout. The Loft has a lot of fans upstairs, so unless it is a super humid day, it is also nice for pleasant shopping. Y'all need to come see us if you haven't yet and those who have already been here several times, keep coming back!! Always something new and interesting to see!!

The Short Mountain Trading Post is open: Thursday through Saturday 10 to 5. I know you are all looking forward to our big Family Fun Fest on Saturday 10 to 5.
Tons of tables full of unique items, furniture, crafts, glassware, tools, camping equipment, delicious home baked goods, jams, produce, plants and lots of conversation. To eat, there will be: JD's famous hotdogs on the grill, homemade bbq, lemonade, snowcones and more.

FREE booth space is available, so call me, Savannah, at 615-464-7824 to reserve a spot.

Once again, The Short Mountain Distillery is selling tickets at: www.Flyincolorsdiscgolf.com to their huge Disc Jam and Music Festival on August 29-31.

Ages 11 and under ticket is free with general admission adult ticket. See you there for a fun thrilled week-end!!!
Well, aside from one of our dear customers getting baptized from our nest of barn sparrows in the rafters right over his head (bald head), we have had only good adventures this past week at the Post.
Will have more news for you next week, but for now....Be happy, help your neighbors, treasure your family and visit us real soon.
Hugs, Savannah
