One of the newest and most popular of the Woodbury Lions Club Projects is the annual Princess Ball. Every spring the Woodbury Lions Memorial Building is transformed into a castle fit for a princess.
The program is offered to all local girls 18 and under who are accompanied by their father, grandfather, or other such figure in their life. Numerous hours are spent by Lions Club members on decorations, music, food, and other special touches that make this a memorable night for many young ladies.
The project began in 2008 growing beyond expectations in 2009, and 2010 looks to be another banner year for the Lion’s Princess Ball. All money raised goes back to serving the needs of the community.
The ball provides a good excuse for those father figures to spend some quality time with their special girl or girls. What could be better than an evening of daddy/daughter – type fun that helps great causes!
This year’s princess ball will be held on April 2, 2010, at the Woodbury Lions Club Building. The event will begin at 6:00 p.m. and conclude at 8:30.
The cost is $15 per couple and $5 for each additional person. You may wear princess attire, semi-formal or just “dressy.” There will be lots of refreshments, music, and photos. Don’t miss it!
