A 89-year-old Woodbury pedestrian died the night of December 16 when she was struck by a truck while crossing South McCrary Street in a heavy rainstorm.
Nannie Bell Mears, 89, was declared dead at the scene of the accident, which occurred shortly after 10 p.m. Mrs. Mears was using an umbrella when she was struck by the truck.
She was struck by a 1999 Chevrolet S14 pickup truck driven by 40-year-old Jason D. Johnson.
The accident was investigated by State Trooper Rodney Whiles.
