Four ambulance workers including Cannon County ambulance director Dek Sissom have been forced to resign or face termination following the recent results of a sexual harassment civil suit filed by three plaintiffs citing harassment occurred over a long period of time while employed with the ambulance department.
While the civil suite decision is in the appeals process now, Cannon County Executive Brent Bush Saturday called Dek Sissom, Randy Burnett, David Pitts and Charles Nokes and gave them three options retire, resign or be terminated effective after Monday.
A full story regarding these actions will be in the print edition of the February 9th edition of the Cannon Courier.
Tonight though, the ambulance employees including the four are expected to be at the Cannon County Commission meeting.
They will get their opportunity to speak before the Commission during the public comment period.
The public is invited to attend tonight's meeting which starts at 5:30.
Other items on the agenda include:
Budget Amendments, Finance Policy Updates, Interlocal Agreement and Adequate Facilities Tax on lots for residential homes.
The meeting will be shown live via a Facebook link on Cannon Courier News and Events. You can also dial in on Zoom with this information:
