Betty Higgins Newell, age 83, passed away Saturday, December 21 in Schererville IN. She was born on July 16, 1936 in Woodbury TN to the late Dave and Louise Ashford Higgins. She is also preceded in death by her husband Clarence Newell, sister Margaret Higgins Melton, brother J. W. Higgins and nephew Tim Higgins.
She is survived by her brother, Jerry (Janice) Higgins of Bradyville, TN, nephew Jeff (Tammy) Higgins of Readyville, TN., great nephew Taylor (Lindsey) Higgins, great nieces Ashley (Jason) Carter and Miranda Johnson. Also survived by her caregiver Nanette (Dale) Rebar.
A memorial service will be held at Immanuel Presbyterian Church in Schererville, IN at 11:00AM on December 27, 2019 with Kish Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
