Grace Early Simmons, 83, died Friday, Jan. 15, 2010, at Woodbury Nursing Center following an extended illness. Born in Rutherford County, she was a homemaker who lived in Woodbury. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 17, in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Richard Haley officiating. Burial will be in Prater Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mable Rollins and Tommy Hollis, and her husband, Nathan Simmons. Survivors include her daughter, Patsy Moore of Pelham, Tenn.; sons Earl Simmons of Woodbury and Dewayne Simmons of Georgia; nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren; brother Virgil Hollis of Nashville and sister Odell Weeks of Murfreesboro.
