A Cannon County man is facing the possibility of spending more time in jail after he incurred new charges which he was incarcerated at the Cannon County Jail.

According to a report filed by Sheriff's Deputy Zach Smith, he was at the Stones River Hospital Emergency Department on July 7 speaking with the purported victim.

Deputy Smith was informed Jacob Davis had been making harassing phone calls to her from the Cannon County Sheriff's Dept. by the department's land line (615-563-1000). There is an active order of protection against Davis by the complainant.

A total of five phone calls had been placed to the purported victim since June 24. This was done in violation of the protection order, which is the reason Mr. Davis is currently incarcerated. Phone records of the calls made were requested.

Photos of video footage was taken of Mr. Davis using the phone at specific times at the jail.

He is scheduled to appear in Cannon County General Sessions Court on July 23 on the new charges.
