Martha Katherine King Taylor

Martha Katherine King Taylor, 79, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at the home of her loving sister. She was a native of Cannon Co.

She is survived by her sister, Nancy Trail Brown (Robert) of Bradyville; brother-in-law, Ronald West of Kittrell; nephews, Lynn (Krista) Trail and Bradley Trail both of Bradyville, Mike (Teresa) West of Beech Grove, Scott (Leisa) West of Winchester, Gary (Melinda) West of Kittrell; 2 special great nieces, Kaitlynn and Kathryn Trail. Several great nieces and nephews also survive.

Ms. Taylor was preceded in death by her parents, Lofton King and Ruth Martin King; stepfather, Wauford Groom, sister, Betty King West and brother-in-law, Ray Trail.

Martha was a member of the First Baptist Church of Woodbury and the Arthur Murray Dance Studio. After retiring from United Methodist Publishing House in 2005, she moved to Woodbury. Martha loved her family and enjoyed being together with everyone. She found the most pleasure in picking up Kaitlynn and Kathryn from school and taking them wherever they wanted to go.

Graveside Services will be 1 pm Friday, May 08, 2020 at Prosperity Cemetery with Bro. Dean Anderson officiating.

Pallbearers are Mike West, Scott West, Gary West, Lynn Trail, Bradley Trail, Scott Schwartz, James Harris, Jason Melton. Honorary Pallbearers will be David Parker & Lytle Tenpenny.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church or the Arthur Murray Dance Studio.
