Commercial Businesses headed up the list of Cannon County's top taxpayers according to figures from the County Trustee's office.
Middle Tennessee Electric Membership Corporation with branch offices in Woodbury, Murfreesboro, Smyrna, and Lebanon paid $264,101.00 of property tax to Cannon County in the 2019-2020 fiscal year. They were the top tax payer according to the list.
Coming in second was Dekalb Telephone Cooperative (DTC) at $64,926.00.
