A maintenance building next to the Cannon County jail was destroyed as a result of a fire Sunday afternoon. The building housed equipment for the Sheriff's Department. No one was injured in the fire. Preliminary investigations suggest the cause of the fire is thought to be electrical in nature. The Woodbury Fire Department is conducting an investigation.
