Nancy "Carolyn" Murphy

Nancy Carolyn Murphy died October 28th, 2021 daughter of Harry Houston Riley and Elsie Mae Parker Riley and sister Marilyn Elaine Rivers who preceded her in death.

Carolyn leaves behind a beloved daughter Cindy Elaine Travis and grandson Marcus Alan Travis who were her caregivers all the way up to her death. She also leaving behind a niece Caylia Jones with nephew Jerry Jones and two great-nephews Matthew and Cameron Jones, brother-in-law Rick Rivers with sister in law Patricia Rivers and granddaughter Robyn Marie Travis.

Carolyn as she preferred to be called spent the majority of her life helping care for people at Vanderbilt Hospital CRC Clinical Research. When not at Vanderbilt she would be outside taking care of flowers, playing with her cats, making crochet blankets and or making jewelry to sell at flea markets, she tried to stay busy with crafts. She always said crafts were fun as well as relaxing.

Donations can be made in Nancy Carolyn Murphy name at Woodbury Funeral Home to help cover financial expenses for the family is struggling to make ends meet
