Betty Sandra McCord

Betty Sandra McCord, 74, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2025 at her home in Morrison following an extended illness. A native of Murfreesboro, TN., she was the daughter of the late Robert and Ozella Lovvorn Stem. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, LeAnn McCord, siblings, Charles Stem, Houston Stem and Louise Mofield and nephew, Chris Hall.

Mrs. Betty is survived by her husband of 50 years, Clyde B. McCord of Morrison; children, Kimberly (Clayton) Neal of Woodbury, Tammy (Jeff) Parker of Readyville, Chad McCord of Morrison, Wayne (Robin) McCord of Woodbury and Penny McCord (Carter Pope) of Woodbury; grandchildren, Tabatha (Doug) Brown, Victoria (Jerome) Curran, Dalton (Alicia) Neal, Darrek Parker, Tayler Thompson, Jonathan McCord, Addison McCord, Alexis McCord, Michael McCord, Shayla McCord and Breanna Pope; great grandchildren, Payton, Callie and Bristol Brown, Avery and Callan Neal, Evelyn Curran, Kensleigh, Willow and Tinsley Parker, Emerlynn Thompson and honorary great granddaughter, Alanna Spann; siblings, Mary Alice Sanders of Shelbyville, Barbara (Gary) Romans of McMinnville and Judy (J.C.) Ashford of Woodbury; special friends, Ron & Vickey Campbell.

Mrs. McCord was a dedicated member of the Woodbury Pentecostal Church and a retired school bus driver with the Rutherford County School System. She was known for her affection towards the children who rode on bus #147. In her younger years, she had a enjoyed sewing and traveling with her husband, Clyde. Her most significant roles in life, apart from being a wife, were those of a mother and grandmother. Mrs. McCord had a deep love for her family and cherished family gatherings and spending quality time with them making lasting memories.

Her family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at Woodbury Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at Woodbury Pentecostal Church with Rev. Clayton Neal and Rev. Dalton Neal officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory, McMinnville. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
