School is back in session and it's time to get back to normal activities.
Saturday the 19th, the children, grandchildren and all the "out-laws" of Carl and Lois Mingle gathered in the Recreation Center at Auburn Baptist. There were 40 plus or minus of these "kissin' kin" who gathered in for some good food and catching up.
Saturday, the 26th the combined Hughes Christmas and Clyde and Anna Belle Bogle Hughes family reunion was held in the Auburn Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. Hosting the event was their oldest daughter, Inette Hughes Gunter. Having the event here was special to her as she shared memories of how she, her late sister, JoAnn Hughes Nichols and late husband, William Gunter, came to know Christ. All were baptized in Hurricane Creek. JoAnn, who loved Christmas and family, passed away in February of this year and William had passed in June of 2013 so this reunion was extra special to the family.
