The Woodbury FFA competed recently at the Tennessee State Fair. The Fair gives young men and women an opportunity to exhibit their skills, and proficiencies in agriculture, leadership and citizenship. Competitions allow students to be recognized for excellence in all of these fields.
The Woodbury FFA chapter competed, under the leadership of two outstanding advisors, Tina Nichols and Emily Haley. And this year's winners include:
State Winner; Dairy Handler, Perry Baird
Perry will travel to the 92nd Annual National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, IN, this fall to represent the Tennessee FFA in the National Finals.
Placing 3rd in STATE Livestock Judging ; Hunter Owen, Rachel Hale, John Buyrl Neely and Emily Nave
Placing 5th in STATE Dairy Judging; Will Byford, Seth Todd, Abigail Buchanan and Abbye Moore
Competing in Junior Public Speaking; Jadyn Davis
Competing in Open Floriculture; Katie Waycaster and Audrey Gordon
Members also competed in open livestock, open dairy and served as livestock handlers for the State judging contest.
