Mrs. Betty Inez (Denton) Martin, 73, of Woodbury died Jan. 14, 2011. She was born Feb. 28, 1937 in Port Saint Joe, FL. Her parents were the late Lawson Martin Denton and Iris (Pippin) Denton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Martin and grandsons, Craig Buchanan and Shelton Brett Jeffcoat.

She is survived by her daughter, Cindy & Randy Gilley of Woodbury, sons, Shelton & Barbara Jeffcoat of Florida, Kenny Jeffcoat of South Carolina, Doug and Shirley Martin of Virginia and David Martin of South Carolina; a brother, Bill & Sharron Denton of Bluff City, TN and twelve grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Mrs. Martin had attended the Spirit and Truth Worship Center in Virginia before moving to Tennessee. She worked for many years in Lousiana as a traffic controller for the oil tankers and rigs. She also drove a bus and was a 911 dispatcher during her life.

Visitation will be Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011 from 3-7 PM at Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011 at 2 PM in the Smith Funeral Home chapel. Hunter Hay will officiate and interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
