It's the second and final regular season meeting of the rivalry between Cannon and Dekalb County and it takes place tonight at Robert A. Harris Gymnasium in Woodbury. The Lionettes have the opportunity to get redemption after losing in Smithville 56-43. Cannon is currently one game back from Dekalb and Livingston. A win tonight would force a tie between themselves and at least Dekalb for fifth and possibly fourth place depending on how Livingston fares. The Lady Cats meet number one Macon County in Lafayette tonight.
Cannon will play Livingston in the final regular season game on February 13th.
The Lions have fallen two games back of the third spot in the District standings after losing Friday to Macon County. Dekalb sits two games back in sixth so a win tonight keeps the Lions in the mix for a third or fourth place spot at the end of the season. Watertown meets Upperman tonight in Baxter so with a win tonight and on the road in Carthage Friday, Watertown and Cannon could be tied for third by the time the week is done.
