If approved by the General Assembly, Gov. Bill Haslam's IMPROVE Act could result in $23 million in road and bridge building projects in Cannon County by the year 2030.
As proposed, the act could complete work on a 1.5 mile section of US 70S through Woodbury, a project estimated at $13.2 million.
Other pending projects include:
. A new West Main Street bridge over the East Fork of Stones River ($4.1 million).
.Curtis George Road bridge over Wilmore Creek ($430,000).
.Marshall Creek Road bridge over Marshall Creek ($835,000).
.Tate Road bridge over Connell Creek ($433,000)
.Murfreesboro Road bridge over branch ($448,000).
.Gilley Hill Road bridge over Brawley's Fork Creek ($458,000).
.Blair Branch Road bridge over Blair Creek ($341,000)
.McAllister Lane bridge over Sanders Fork Creek ($377,000).
.Bullpen Road bridge over Bullpen Creek ($452,000).
.Polly Campbell Road bridge over Wilmore Creek ($416,000).
.Castle PT bridge over Leach Creek ($460,000).
.Ferrell Bridge Lane bridge over East Fork of Stones River ($455,000).
