The Cannon County Lions travel to Unionville to meet Community School in a region contest which may have implications of Cannon hosting a playoff game in three weeks if they get a road win tonight and pending on a decision on how to treat the September 3rd covid win against Sequatchie County.
While Cannon was awarded the COVID win against Sequatchie, both teams have an off week next Friday and while Sequatchie is pressing to play the game on the field as a makeup game, the Lions will be on Fall Break with several of their football players going out of town with their families. The argument is Fall Break has been on the calendthar since last school year and the original game was missed due to Sequatchie having COVID. Sequatchie actually cancelled the contest the same night Cannon played Cascade a week in advance.
Tonight's game will be broadcast via Facebook Live on the Cannon Courier News and Events Facebook Page. Kickoff is at 7p with the live feed up and running at around 6:45p.
