On May 18, 2018, the Cannon County Sheriff's Department and Woodbury Police Department assisted the Tennessee Highway Patrol with a sobriety checkpoint on Highway 96 in Auburntown at the Marshall Creek intersection. This took place between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. There were 21 officers present; 13 from the Sheriff's Department, 5 from the Police Department, and 3 from the Highway Patrol.
