Charles Edwin Rigsby

Services for Charles Edwin Rigsby, 82,  of Woodbury, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 4, 2013, at the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Herb Alsup officiating.  Visitation will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2013.

 A Cannon County native, Mr. Rigsby died Monday, July 1, 2013 at Alvin C. York VA Medical Center.

 Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Jean Creson Rigsby of Woodbury; children, Randy (Violet) Rigsby and Kathy (Randy) George of Woodbury; four grandchildren, Leigh Ann (Alan) Taylor, Matthew (Shellie) Rigsby, Natalie George and Alex George; three great-grandchildren, Hannah Grace, Race and Coy Rigsby; a brother, Jimmy (Virginia) Rigsby of Woodbury; a sister, Billie (Carmon) Gannon of Woodbury; and several nieces and nephews.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Geraldine Todd Rigsby and siblings, Jack, T.J., JR and Georgie Rigsby and Jean Gannon.

 He was a member of the Elkins Church of Christ and a veteran of the Air Force. He was retired from TDOT.

 Pallbearers will be Bruce Daniel, Terry Holt, Mike Gannon, Terry Gannon, Mark Gannon and Matthew Rigsby.
