Clarence Truman Jennings, age 82 of Murfreesboro, died Saturday September 4, 2010. A native of the Davenport Community in Warren County, he was the son of the late Aubrey and Azalene Davis Jennings. Funeral services will be 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Greg Armstrong officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Jennings is survived by his daughter and son in law Juli and Glen Lewis, and son and daughter in law Jeff and Angie Jennings both of Murfreesboro, five grandchildren Blake Lewis, Natalee Lewis, Austin Lewis, Shelley Armstrong, Jenny Bradford, his two dogs Sparky and Jasper, and a sister Nova Elliott of Elizabethton, TN. He was preceded in death by his wife Alma Jean Jennings, two brothers Oakley and Burley Jennings, and three sisters Ann McNutt, Lela Mathis and Vera Jennings.
Mr. Jennings served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Airborne Division. He graduated from M.T.S.U in 1951. He retired from Avco –Textron after 42 years of service.
