Commission Shows Progress Meets Again Tonight

A little progress on the fiscal year 2019-2020 budget was made Monday night at the recessed meeting of the Cannon County Commission. The group decided to go over and approve each county department expenditures separately. In another four hour meeting, the Commission passed the budget recommendations of the County Commission, County Mayor, Register Of Deeds, Planning/BZA, County Buildings, Preservation Of Records, Fully Funded Accounting and Budgeting Office, Property Assessor, County Trustee, County Clerk and Ambulance Department.
Tonight will continue the recessed meeting with the Sheriff's Department recommendation up for approval and continuing on with the rest of the county departments.
Tonight's meeting will be at the courthouse and start at 5:30.
