The Historic Cannon County Chamber of Commerce kicked off the holiday season with the first of two days of special shopping opportunities and other activities Friday. Visitors enjoyed music, buggy rides, having their pictures taken with Santa Claus and decorative downtown stores.

The festivities continue Saturday with special activities including the Lions Stride for Diabetes Walk beginning at noon followed by the Push, Pull or Pedal Children’s Parade around the square at 1 p.m.
