Dalton Roberts, politician, humorist, poet, teacher, songwriter, musician, author, columnist and more, is coming to Dekalb Co. on Sat., March 26th to perform with Taylor Pie at the Liberty Arts House Concert Series in Liberty.
Mr. Roberts, currently a resident of Chattanooga, according to Joe Wilson, Exec. Dir., Nat'l Council for Traditional Arts, is “... the Giggle King of Tennessee who has occasionally hurt me with laughter, but I forgive him … a composer of good songs and a world-class fingerpicker. He binds these skills together with a dry wit and an uncanny ability to find humor and laughter in all of life’s passages."
Ms Pie, who has been a local resident for 25 years has her own following like Dick Renko of Muzik Mgt., who wrote, "Pie's singing is strong, clear, and passionate. Listening to her music is like putting on your favorite pair of blue jeans, so comfortable and the fit is perfect, voice, words and music matched with real experience, character, grace, and charm." Dawn Dale, Prog. Dir., KFAN radio, Fredericksburg, TX, adds, "Taylor Pie fully embraces and emphasizes the very spirit of the Americana music genre...Her lyrics are rich and her vocals are fully captivating!”
These two stage masters will join each other for an evening of song swapping, story telling, and finger picking and grinning at 231 E. Main St., Liberty, TN. The doors will open at 6:30pm for snacks & socializing...music begins around 7pm. We respectfully request a contribution of $15 for the musicians. Limited seating so RSVP @ 615/ 536-5550 or email: libertyarts@usa.com
