It's that time of year again — time for Auburntown's Red Apple Day.
Celebrating over 30 years of guitar "apple" pickin' and grinnin' times! The event, like always, will be held at C.S. Hawkins Park in Auburntown, TN and will take place on August 3rd and 4th.
Come with your lawn chairs, blankets, and friends for two fun filled days under the BIG tent provided by EXIT Realtor Greg Goff.
We will provide the "heat" and the fun, just hopefully not the rain!
Friday, August 3 at 5:00 p.m. starts off the event with Gospel music night. Saturday, August 4 starting at 6:30 a.m. begins registration for the Auburntown Lions Club 5k run starting at the Auburntown community center. Run starts at 7:30 a.m., fee is $20.00 and you will recieve a t-shirt and meal from the fish fry provided by the Auburntown Lions Club until 7:00 p.m. After the 5k there will be a fun run.
For non-participants in the 5k run, the fish fry will cost $8.00 adults and $4.00 for children 12 and under.
Following the run, the parade starts at noon and will start on Highway 96. Then at 1:00 p.m., the Clogging Click Cloggers will be "kickin" off the second day of events. There will be music all through the day, cornhole tournaments at 3:00 p.m. ($10.00 per team), and a volleyball tournament at 5:00 p.m ($10.00 per team).
There will be a Bouncy Bounce provided for both days for the kids to enjoy. Plenty of food and craft vendors will be provided for both days.
Come catch up with your friends and neighbors to reminice about ol' times, and enjoy good family fun.
This event is used as a fundraiser to help the Auburntown Volunteer Fire Department. Let them know how much you appreciate them.
So come all and enjoy in the fun while sitting under the tent out of the sun, and have yourselves a "pickin'" good time.
Hope to see you all there!
