Jack Fuller Barton, of Readyville, passed away Friday, August 31, 2012 from complications of cancer. He was born November 5, 1946 and was 65 years old.
He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the U.S. Navy and was retired from Mingle & Elrod, Inc. where he worked for over 40 years. He was a lifetime member of the West Side Fire Dept.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Robert Ray “Crook” Barton & Melba Fuller Barton; his father-in-law, Lacie Sullins; grandson, Samuel McMackins; several aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Phyllis Sullins Barton; daughter, Amy (Kevin) McMackins; Son, Nicholas Barton; Grandchildren, Jeramy, Jonah & Jenna McMackins; Brothers, Ray (Peggy) Barton & Jimmy (Shelia) Barton all of Readyville; Sister, Cynthia Barton of Nashville; Mother-in-law, Berma Sullins; Sister-in-law, Deborah Parker; Special Friends, John & Faye Naylor, Paul & Kathy Simon and Margaret & Randy Vassar.
Visitation with family will be Monday, September 3, 2012 from 10 am until 2 pm with graveside services at 2:30 pm at Cherry Cemetery. Brother Al Bugg, Jr. officiating.
