James Michael Kyne

James Michael Kyne, age 75, of Woodbury passed away Monday, September 12, 2022 at his home. He was born in Green Co., Ohio on January 7, 1947.

He is survived by his wife, Colleen Kay Elmore Kyne; Children, Thomas Kyne, Shelley (Philip) Kyne, Jamie Kyne, & Peter (Paula) Kyne; Grandchildren, Gabriel (Kenzi), Madison, Olivia, Nora, Ezekiel, Abigail, Annalee, Isabell, Cassondra, Alexandria, Byron, Kiersten, Ty, Tucker, & Kaitlyn; Siblings, Karen, John, Becky, Libby, Molly, David, Mary Lou, Melissa Jane, & Chris; and former son-in-law, Gary Hibdon. Numerous cousins, nieces, & nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Byron & Marjorie Bretney Kyne; and his brother, Tom Kyne.

He was a Vietnam Veteran where he was a Navy Seabee and worked for Jones Brothers in road construction and excavating until he started his own business, ELKY Excavating. He was the greatest storyteller, the strongest man, and was tough as nails. He made sure to make every one of his grandchildren feel like they were his favorite.

Funeral Services will be at 7:30 PM Thursday, September 15, 2022 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 PM until the time of service at Woodbury Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 10 am Saturday, September 17, 2022 at St. Brigid Cemetery, Xenia, OH.
