Jesse E. (Jack) Lewis, 82

Funeral services for Jesse E. (Jack) Lewis, 82, were held Tuesday, August 18, 2009 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Hodge officiating. Burial was in Gilley Hill Cemetery with Woodbury Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Lewis died Saturday, August 15, 2009 at his home in Manchester after a short illness. A native of Cannon County, he was a member of Manchester 1st Church of Nazrene and a veteran of the Korean War of the Army branch. Retired from Batesville Casket Company, he was the son of the late Lawton and Willie Mae Duncan Lewis.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Lavada Holt Lewis of Manchester; two childen, Bruce E. and Sandy Lewis of Manchester and Gina A. Lewis and Jonathan Kiser of Kingsport; two granddaughters, Claire Elizabeth and Sophia Marie Kiser of Kingsport; a sister, Juanita (Pinky) Williams of Yorba Linda, California.

Pallbearers were Bill Farless, Ben Jones, Jack Brown, Timmy Knox, Barry Knox, Danny Holt, Lytle King and O'Neal Spry.
