Jessie E. Lewis

Jessie E. Lewis, 82 died Saturday, August 15 following a short illness. He was a resident of Manchester and native of Cannon County.

Survivors include; wife, Lavand Holt Lewis of Manchster, children, Bruce Lewis of Manchester and Gina Kiser of Kingsport, sister, Juanita Williams of California, 2 granddaughters also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, the late Lawton & Willie Mae Duncan Lewis. He was a veteran, retired from Batesville Casket Co. and a member of the Manchester First Church of Nazarene.

Funeral services for Jessie E. Lewis will be Tuesday, August 18th, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Woodbury Funeral Home. Conducting the service will be Bro. Jimmy Hodge. Burial will be at Gilley Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Monday, August 17th from 3:00-9:00pm.
