Leoma Vassar

Funeral services for Leoma Vassar, 82, of Woodbury were held Friday, August 28, 2009 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Herb Alsup officiating. Burial was in Thyatira Cemetery with Woodbury Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Vassar died Tuesday, August 25 at Stones River Hospital following an extended illness. A native of Cannon County, she was the daughter of the late Perry E. and Nellie Margaret Underwood Vassar. Ms. Vassar attended the Bradyville Church of Christ and was the former owner of The Grill in Woodbury. She later was a cook at the Cannon County Senior Citizens Center.

Survivors include her sister, Caroline Hamilton; aunt, Mayme Holt and devoted fiance', Billy Davis, all of Woodbury and several cousins.
