Maurice Dornan Stewart

Maurice Dornan Stewart, 87, of Woodbury, passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at Woodbury Health Care following an extended illness.

Anative of Cannon County, he is survived by a daughter, Dorna Jane Stewart; a sister-in-law, Gloria Stewart of Woodbury; a niece, Beth and Zac Stark of Nashville; a nephew, Tim and Debbie Stewart of Woodbury; a great niece, Chesney Stewart Witty; and great nephews, Chase Stewart, Nash Stark and Roacco Stark.

He was the son of the late Arthur and Hellie Ferrell Stewart and was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane (Jimmie) Stewart and his brother, Frank Stewart.

He was a member of the Woodbury Church of Christ, a veteran of WWII, serving in the Army Air Corp, and was a retired game warden.

Graveside services were held at Riverside Gardens on Friday, November 27, 2009, with Bro Herb Alsup officiating.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
