Cannon County Senior Center is hosting a free Medicare informational seminar called "Medicare Made Clear," sponsored by UnitedHealthCare to inform Medicare eligible persons about how Medicare works, what the different plans are or parts are and how they fit into each individual's current situation.
The Medicare program helps 43 million Americans get the health care they need. Just as important, Medicare offers you choices about how you can receive your benefits. But choosing Medicare coverage can sometimes seem difficult.
This seminar is designed to introduce the choices that are available and will explain the important differences to help take the guess work out of determining a solution that is right for the individual.
Attendees will get answers to important questions such as:
• When am I eligible?
• Do I want only Original Medicare (Parts A and B)?
• How about Original Medicare with (or without) a stand-alone Prescription Drug Plan (Part D) or Medicare Advantage plan (Part C)?
• If I get Medicare Advantage plan, do I want it with or without prescription drugs?
• When can I signed up?
The seminar will be help on December 17 at 10:30 a.m. at the Cannon County Senior Center at 609 W. Lehman St. Please contact 615-563-5304 with any questions.
