Myrtle Lassie Campbell

Myrtle Lassie Owen Campbell age 95, of Woodbury, Tennessee passed away December 6, 2024. She was the oldest and last surviving child of the late Jesse Owen and Lucy Groom Owen. She was preceded in death by siblings Minnie Ferrell, Charles Owen and Eual Owen, and by her husband, Lloyd Wayron Campbell after an impressive 64 year marriage.

Myrtle is survived by her children, Stanton Campbell (wife, Kathy) and Brenda Campbell Royal; three grandchildren: Julie Williams, Emily Royal, and Ethan Minor; and five great-grandchildren: Fischer, Sutton, Rhodes, Beckett, and Pippa (all Williams siblings).

Before being sidelined by dementia late in life, Myrtle was an avid gardener and frequently received unsolicited compliments from passers-by. So in lieu of sending flowers, she would much prefer that you instead enjoy the beauty of nature and leave the flowers in their natural state. Better yet, plant some in her memory after it warms up a bit. And if you wish, donations can be made to the Child Advocacy Center of Cannon County (214 W. Water Street. Woodbury, TN 37190) or Sanders Fork Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held at Woodbury Funeral Home Sunday December 8th from 1:00 to 3:00 PM with the funeral to follow at 3:00 PM Sunday in the chapel. Bro. Marvin Davenport will officiate and burial will follow at Reed Cemetery.
