Nelson T. Denny, 80

Graveside services for Nelson T. Denny, 80, were held Sunday, August 2, 2009 at Thyatira Cemetery with Bro. Jim Terry officiating. Woodbury Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Denny died Friday, July 31 at Woodbury Health Care after an extended illness. Anative of Putnam County, he was a member of Lumly Stand Church of Christ, a retired school teacher and a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Air Force. Parents were the late Toy Lee and Lena Gentry Denny.

Survivors include two sons, Tony Lee Denny of Bradyville and Nelson Heath Denny of Centertown; three grandchildren, Calvin, Alex and Mattie Denny; a sister, Era Faye Freeze of Florida and a brother, Ben Denny of Garden City, Michigan.
