Shirley Ann Cook Lewis, 70, died Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at St. Thomas Hospital.

A native of Cannon County, she resided in Morrison.

A member of McMahan Church of Christ, Shirley was a homemaker who loved gardening, cooking and reading.

Survivors:  

Daughters: Sandra (Charles) Christie of Holdrege, NB and Fancie (Curtis) Ely of Woodbury.

Grandchildren:  Adam & Jonathan Christie and Savannah Ely.

Sisters:  Dean (Marvin) Beck of St. Ann, MO., Jennie Foster of Woodbury & Brenda (Van) Hutchinson of Woodbury

Special Friend & Caregiver:  Linda Duke of Woodbury.

Sisters-in-law & Brothers-in-law: Patsy Cook of McMinnville; Dalphia (Joe) Parsley of Fayetteville and Dean Lewis of Murfreesboro and Wayne Prater of Woodbury.

Also survived by  several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Lewis; parents, Medford & Alberta Smithson Cook; brother, Jimmy Cook and sister-in-law, Janet Prater.

Graveside services will be held at McMahan Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 17, 2012 with Bro. Herb Alsup officiating. Burial will be McMahan Cemetery,

Visitation will be from after 4 p.m. Friday, March 16 and from 11 a.m. until time of service Saturday.

Pallbearers: Terry Don Duke & her nephews.

Woodbury Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
