A hit-and-run drive injured two pedestrians while they were walking in Lebanon on Wednesday night.
One of those injured, Sue Ann Bone, is the niece of State Representative Stratton Bone, who represents Cannon, Trousdale and part of Wilson Counties.
The younger and a friend were walking near the corner of Castle Heights Avenue and Hill Street when they were struck by a car, according to reports. The driver did not stop, police say.
The two were taken by air to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
"Sue Ann is in Vanderbilt Hospital and is in surgery now," Robbie Farmer, Rep. Bone's administrative assistant, said this morning. "She has a crushed shoulder, broken ribs, broken pelvic and ankle but in time she will be OK — at least she is with us."
Lebanon Police said the think they have identified the driver but have not located him. Police found the car believed to have hit them abandoned on a nearby street.
