Paul Leyhew, born October 1, 1948, age 75, passed away on May 7, 2024, at his home in Milton, TN. He was a life-long resident of Rutherford County, graduating from Lascassas High School in 1966. Paul was proceeded in death by his parents J. T. and Juanita Leyhew.
Paul is survived by his wife of 56 1/2 years, Connie Shirley Leyhew; one son, Brian; one granddaughter, Angela (Alden) Davenport; two precious great grandchildren, Harper and Delaney Davenport; two sisters, Opal (Ralph) McKee and Connie Pearson; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
He retired from Heritage Farm Dairy in Murfreesboro, TN. Paul was an avid gardener; he so enjoyed teaching the great grands gardening skills which they put to good use by winning some blue ribbons at the Wilson County Fair and by sharing their produce with neighbors. A real joy for Paul was watching Harper, Delaney and nieces Ellie and Anna Clay Shirley compete in their sports; Paul was very sad that he missed a lot of their games due to illness. Paul was a member of Auburn Baptist Church serving as a Greeter for as long as he could--he thoroughly enjoyed this ministry. Paul enjoyed his life, and now the victory is his.
