Rachel Evans Burger

Rachel Evans Burger, 91, died Friday, March 25, 2011 at Woodbury Health Care Center following an extended illness.

A resident of Woodbury, she was a native of Cannon County.

Survivors include nephews and nieces, Randy and Faye Vance, Mike and Dwinna Vance and Sandy and Eddie Bessire, all of Woodbury; stepson, Dr. Charles and Sally Burger of Pulaski; stepdaughter, Melinda and Chuck Snyder of Brentwood; and several great nieces, nephews and step grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Eva Davenport Vance, her husbands, Ester L. Evans and and Willie Burger and her brother, Ray Vance.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 27, 2011, with Bro. Bobby Zumbro officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2011 at the funeral home.
