Rachel Odom

Rachel Rogers Odom, 71 died Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Vanderbilt Hospital.

A Readyville resident, she was a Rutherford County native.

Ms. Odom was a member of the Baptist Church and was retired from Rich’s. She also worked at Salvation Army and was currently working at Oakland High School Cafeteria.

Survivors:

Children: Van (Jim) Pollard, Shirley (Johnny) Radford, Barbie (David) Rollyson, Jeff (Sarah) Odom all of Readyville, Timmy “Bo” (Cindy) Odom and Samantha (Steve) Osborne all of Murfreesboro.

Grandchildren: Chris (Ashley) Pollard, Jennifer Pollard, Alan (Emily) Odom, Ashley Odom, Jeri Lynn Radford, Whitney Ingle, Eric (Tabitha) Krueger, Travis (Jenna) Krueger, Brad (Rachel) Odom and Rachel Odom.

Siblings: Ruby Holub of Murfreesboro, Howard (Mattie) Rogers of Readyville & Billy Rogers of FL.

Special Sister-in-law: Eva Ann Odom (Bob) Green of Murfreesboro.

Also surviving are 11 Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Delta & Rose Lee Tittle Rogers; husband, Edward Bratten Odom; granddaughter, Amanda Odom and great granddaughter, Alyssa Goins; siblings, Lorene Odom, James Rogers & Betty Carter.

Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2012 with Bro. Brian Harrell officiating.                           

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday,  May 16, 2012.

At Ms. Rachel’s request, she will be cremated after her services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Woodbury Funeral Home for funeral expenses.
