Sarah Roberta Duke

Funeral services for Sarah Roberta Duke, 83 of Manchester will be conducted Sunday, November 29 at 2:30 PM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Brother Joe Sissom officiating services. Burial will follow at Gilley Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Saturday, November 28 from 3:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. Ms. Duke passed away Friday, November 27, 2009.

Ms. Duke was born April 13, 1926 in Cannon County to the late Joe C. and Claudie Duke. In earlier years, she worked as an employee at Colonial Factory. She was a member of Simons Chapel Methodist Church in Cannon County, Tennessee. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her brothers Alton Duke, Pharris Duke, Hilton Duke, Clayborne Duke, Morgan Duke and Thurston Duke; sisters, Carmon Drennen, and Leonia Spry.

Her survivors include two brothers, Wiley (Wanda) Duke, Wyndell (Syble) Duke both of Manchester; sisters, Jewel Christian, Glera Presley both of Manchester, Norene Holt of Woodbury, and Lera Whittemore of Southgate, Michigan.
