Sharon Frances Bryson Reeves, age 68, of Manchester, TN, passed away, Monday, April 29, 2024 at St. Thomas Rutherford, Murfreesboro, TN. after a brief illness.

A native of Cannon County, Sharon was born April 9, 1956 to the late William Allen Bryson and Mallie Elkins Bryson. Also preceding her in death was her husband, retired U.S. Army Sergeant, Larry Ray Reeves of Bowling Green, KY.

Sharon is survived by stepdaughters, Lisa Reeves (Albert) Pitts of King George, VA., Samantha Reeves (Benny) Rosas, Mary Reeves (Josh Weigeshoff); grandchildren, Ariel, Alex and Elijah Rosas, Sunny and Daisy Weigeshoff all of San Diego, CA, Hunter Pitts of King George, VA., Christina Pitts (Ben) Graham of Powhatan, VA., Stephen Paul (Ashley) Pitts, Ruther Glen, VA; great grandsons, Everett and Weston; siblings, Bill (Joan) Bryson of Lebanon, Michael (Geraldine) Bryson of Woodbury, MeLinda Bryson (Wade) Simmons of Manchester, Terry (Rita) Bryson of Woodbury, Robert (Debra) Bryson of Woodbury and Michelle Bryson (Alan) Hale of Dallas, TX. Sharon is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, as well as Uncle Johnny and Aunt Shirley Bryson of Woodbury, Aunt Clara Elkins of Murfreesboro and special friend, Dorothy Perkins of Murfreesboro.

Graduating from Woodbury Central High School in 1974, Sharon knew she wanted an office position. Before long, she was living in Nashville and working at Social Security Administration in West End where she first met her lifelong friend, Dorothy.

She soon found her calling in the medical transcription world, working her way up to a supervisor position at St. Thomas Hospital where she remained from 1982 - 2005. When St. Thomas outsourced it's medical transcription work, Sharon was recruited to Customer Care Manager for MedQuest. She managed a three-state area for MedQuest's transcription service from 2005 - 2009. Sharon entered the work from home population before it was widely embraced.

Sharon took early retirement and by this time Sharon and Larry had built their dream home in the Christiana community. She soon realized she was not ready to retire but did not want to work from home, travel or manage. Sharon finished her career at probably one of her most enjoyable workplaces, Murfreesboro Medical Center and collected as many friends as she did paychecks. She left MMC in 2017 as she was losing her husband to ALS.

After Larry's death, Sharon moved to Manchester to be close to her sister, built a smaller home and completely landscaped her own yard. She loved people and could own a room as soon as she entered. A lot of people will have to learn to live around that big hole in their hearts.

Funeral services for Sharon Bryson Reeves will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, May 6, 2024 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with her brother, Bill Bryson officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverside Gardens Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends Sunday, May 5, 2024 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
