Short Mtn. Barbecue winners

Short Mountain Distillery, Stillhouse Restaurant and the Cannon County Rescue Squad recently held the first Short Mountain Barbecue Competition.

The winners were Zilla's Pit Barbecue for Best Pulled Pork and Best Ribs, Smokezilla for Best Moonshine Sauce and The Short Mountain Market Gang for The People's Choice Award.

The Rescue Squad ended a poker run at Little Short Mountain Farm and the whole day concluded with a great musical performance by The Robyn Taylor Band.
The distillery will also be hosting an Old Time Music Festival Sept 25-26-27 in conjunction with MTSU's Center For Popular Music. For those who enjoy a Halloween scare, The Short Mountain Fire Department, will be hosting their annual Haunted Woods at the distillery this year.
