Cannon County Sheriff's Department
Christopher Meyer Seals was charged with multiple drug offenses by the Cannon County Sheriff's Department.
Seals was charged with manufacture/sale or delivery of a Schedule II drug (meth) and possession of Schedule IV (marijuana). A hearing is set for May 12 in General Sessions Court.
Property Line Dispute
Deputy Jordan McGee was dispatched to Lassister Road on the report of an assault.
"Upon arrival I spoke with Cody Hall who stated that William Pittman, the neighbor had hit him in the head with a metal pole," McGee reported. "I then went to 719 Lassister Road and spoke with William Pittman who stated that the neighbors and himself had been arguing all day over a property line and he stated that Wayne Dias had shot a shotgun into the ground toward him and then threatened to kill him. He stated that Cody Hall had come over toward his property line and hit him with a metal pole."
A third individual, identified as Jason Tancer, allegedly threw a beer can and hit Pittman.
"Upon speaking with all the parties involved, Mr. Pittman was charged with aggravated assault for hitting Mr. Hall in the head with a pipe. Mr. Dias was charged with aggravated assault for shooting a shotgun toward Mr. Pittman. Mr. Tancer was charged with aggravated assault for hitting Mr. Pittman with the beer can, and Mr. Hall was charged with disorderly conduct for going to Mr. Pittman's property line and yelling at him," McGee reported.
Simple Assault
Peter Murrey Gibson of Smithville was charged with simple assault following an incident on Pea Ridge Road. The case remains under investigation.
Domestic Assault
Randy Dale Holt was charged with domestic assault following an incident on Dickens Hill Road. A court date was set for June 2 in General Sessions Court.
Brandy Turnbo was charged with domestic assault by warrant.
Simple Assault
Hailey Nichole Rains was charged with simple assault. A hearing is set for June 2 in General Sessions Court.
Aggravated Assault
Clayton K. Williams was charged with aggravated assault. A hearing is set for June 2 in General Sessions Court.
Theft Report
David Lee Neal reported that his 2004 Dodge truck had been broken into and a Toshiba laptop and a GPS were taken.

DUI cases
Zachery John Barrett was charged with DUI, first offense, following a traffic stop on South McCrary Street. Making the arrest was Patrolman Tommy Miller. A hearing is set for Aug. 11 in General Sessions Court.
Gregory Clay Nicholas Jr. was charged with DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia and simple possession of marijuana by Patrolman John House. A hearing is set for Aug. 11 in General Sessions Court.
