United Way To Host Second Annual Red, White And Blues Event

The United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties will host its second annual Red, White and Blues fundraiser on July 9, 2011, at 7 PM at the home of Bill and Kathy Jones.

Brian Hercules, President and CEO of the United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties, said, “I think every organization looks for a way to raise funds and share the mission of their agency. Red, White and Blues has become what we think will be a signature event for your United Way.”

This outdoors, casual dinner features a low-country boil, live music, and unique entertainment—crab racing. The event is reminiscent of the southern coastal areas and associated with the 4th of July holiday.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the United Way of Rutherford and Cannon County’s 44 partner agencies and programs.
