McMINNVILLE - It was a rarity but Cannon County suffered a road sweep at Warren County Friday (Dec. 14).
The Lionettes (10-1) never got going offensively and suffered their first loss in 11 games, falling 39-36. Abby Jakes led the Lionettes with 15 points.
Cannon County jumped out to a 7-2 lead but couldn’t build upon the advantage.
The Lions, led by Cory Henley’s 15 points, suffered a 65-55 setback against the Pioneers.
Cannon County dropped to 7-4 overall and are 0-3 on the road.
The Lions play host to Wilson Central in the first round of the Sun Drop Romp Thursday at 4:30 pm.
